Answer from the app
With a RingParrot number you don’t need another phone line. During opening hours, calls ring in the app, on your computer or on your phone.
If you use the number we give you, there’s no separate line to sign up for. During opening hours, calls ring in the RingParrot app, on your front-desk computer or on your phone. After hours, or if you don’t pick up, the parrot answers.
How answering from the app works
- Install the app on your phone, or open RingParrot in your computer’s browser.
- During opening hours, calls ring there, just like a normal phone.
- Answer with one tap and talk with a headset or on speaker.
- If you don’t pick up, the parrot answers and sends you the summary.
Where it can ring
| Device | Best for |
|---|---|
| Front-desk computer | Businesses with a counter, like clinics or repair shops |
| Mobile | People who work on the move, like tradespeople |
| Several at once | Teams: it rings on all of them and whoever is free answers |
If you’d rather use your usual phone
You can forward calls to a number you verify, such as your mobile or the shop’s landline. That forwarding is an outbound call, so it comes out of a minutes balance you top up when needed.
What it does for your business
- New businesses: a professional phone line from day one, without a contract.
- Clinics: the front desk answers from the computer with a headset.
- Home services: it rings on the site lead’s mobile, and if they’re up a ladder, the parrot answers.
What to keep in mind
For the app to ring, the device needs an internet connection. On mobile, allow the app’s notifications so it rings even when the app isn’t open.
