Books appointments in your diary

The parrot knows your services and free slots, and books, moves or cancels appointments during the call.

The most common call in any appointment-based business is to book, move or cancel. They’re short, repetitive calls, ideal for the parrot to handle without you having to call anyone back.

How appointment booking works

  1. Tell it your services: what you offer, how long each takes and, if you work as a team, who does what.
  2. Connect your calendar, or use the diary in the RingParrot app if you don’t have one.
  3. The customer asks for an appointment. The parrot asks which service they want and when suits them.
  4. It finds a slot that fits the service length and the right person.
  5. It confirms the booking during the call and leaves you the summary.

Changes and cancellations

The parrot also moves and cancels appointments. When someone cancels, the slot opens up again for the next caller. In busy businesses, recovering those hours matters as much as winning new customers.

What it does for your business

  • Salons: it knows a cut from highlights, which need more time.
  • Clinics: it books with the right practitioner for each appointment type.
  • Repair shops: it respects how many cars you can take each day.
  • Home services: it schedules assessment visits in the slots you mark.

What to keep in mind

You set the rules: how far ahead people can book, which services can be booked by phone and which you’d rather confirm yourself. If a request doesn’t fit, the parrot offers alternatives or takes a note so you can call back.

Questions

Where do bookings show up? In your connected calendar, such as Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Cal.com or Calendly, or in the app’s diary.

Can it book two services back to back? Yes, once you set the length of each one.

What if I want to approve every booking? You can have it leave them as pending until you confirm.
